The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Winnipeg Chapter is pleased to invite expressions of interest from dedicated professionals who are interested in serving on the Chapter Board of Directors.
As our Chapter continues to grow and expand its impact within the Manitoba business analysis community, we are seeking passionate volunteers who are interested in contributing their leadership, expertise, and ideas to help shape the future of IIBA Winnipeg.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for the following Board positions:
Treasurer
The Treasurer oversees the financial management of the Chapter and helps ensure sound
fiscal stewardship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a member of the Board of Directors
- Overseeing Chapter finances, budgeting, and expenditures
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reports
- Providing regular financial updates to the Board
- Ensuring compliance with fiduciary and organizational requirements
- Coordinating with Membership and Sponsorship portfolios regarding payments and financial activities
- Supporting annual budgeting and financial planning
- Managing day-to-day financial operations and reporting
While not a formal requirement, candidates with experience in finance, accounting,
bookkeeping, budgeting, or related financial management activities are strongly
encouraged to apply.
Vice President at Large
The Vice President at Large is a flexible leadership position that supports the Board across
a variety of initiatives and strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a member of the Board of Directors
- Contributing to Board discussions, decisions, and planning activities
- Supporting special projects and committees as needed
- Assisting other portfolios and helping address emerging Chapter priorities
- Providing leadership support across Chapter operations
Board members play a vital role in:
- Guiding the strategic direction of the IIBA Winnipeg Chapter
- Supporting the planning and delivery of professional development and networking events
- Promoting the Business Analysis profession throughout Manitoba
- Expanding their professional network and leadership experience
- Collaborating with a team of dedicated volunteers committed to serving the local BA community
- Helping create value for current and future Chapter members
Applicants should:
- Be an IIBA member in good standing
- Be willing to commit approximately 5–10 hours per month
- Attend monthly Board meetings and participate in assigned activities
- Demonstrate a commitment to volunteer leadership and community service
