Effectively engaging stakeholders is one of the prime concerns of the business analyst. This involves completing a stakeholder analysis of the key stakeholders and what are their roles in both the organization and your business requirements work. 
Michael Antonio will discuss why many Business Analysts excel at engaging and motivating stakeholders while others struggle. Michael will address one of the fundamental factors in stakeholder engagement success: Connecting.
Connecting is the ability to identify with people and relate to them in a way that increases your influence on them. The ability to connect with others is a major determining factor in reaching your full potential. 

About Michael Antonio:
Michael Antonio is a senior IT professional successfully developing and leading high-performing IT teams for over 25 years in private and public sector organizations with diverse technologies in Canada, the USA, the Caribbean, and Africa.
Today he is a respected IT leader in the Manitoba government as an Executive IT Director managing the delivery of IT support and services to five government departments.
Michael is a business-focused IT leader and strategic advisor to organizational executives leveraging IT-enabled business solutions that provide a strategic advantage, increase revenues, higher margins, and customer satisfaction. He is a former University of Winnipeg lecturer in Business Analysis delivering several courses for over 10 years on how to work effectively with business stakeholders to understand their business improvement opportunities and to translate those requirements into technology solutions.
Michael’s credentials include the CISA, CCP, ISP Professional Designations, CobiT Certification, and the Queens University/Schulich: Strategic Leadership, York University/Schulich: Senior Leadership Excellence programs.
