Board of Directors Election Nominations Are Now Open - Consider Joining!

The IIBA Winnipeg Chapter is now seeking nominations for open positions on the 2017-2018 Board of Directors. Role descriptions of the different positions that are open on the Board are available by clicking here.

As a Board member, you will have the opportunity to shape and influence the direction of our local chapter. You will learn about, and actively participate in, Board governance. Members of the Board have a unique opportunity to work with executives and fellow BA’s. Your involvement can enhance your credibility, teach you valuable skills, increase your stature as a BA and make you known as a key player in our BA community.

REQUIREMENTS
To become a Board member you must be a member in good standing with our local IIBA Winnipeg Chapter and IIBA International. Your position on the board is in a volunteer capacity and requires your dedication.  At a minimum, the Board meets on a monthly basis, with take-away tasks as assigned.  Time commitments run approximately from 5 to 10 hours per month, depending on the role. We ask that only those able to make the time commitment proceed with a nomination.

NOMINATIONS
You can nominate yourself. Please have a second person (manager, team lead, colleague, fellow IIBA member, current Board member, etc.) endorse your nomination by having their name added to the form. You can nominate someone else. We request that you contact the person you would like to nominate and have their approval before submitting their name.

To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form and submit it to the nomination chair (see below).

Nominations will be accepted up to 11:59:59 PM Friday October 28th, 2016.

NOMINATION CHAIR
An independent Nomination Chairperson, Celso Ferreira, has been appointed to manage the nomination process. Celso will act in a fair and impartial way to ensure all nomination forms are collected and handled privately and in-confidence. All nomination forms are to be sent to: celsof@live.ca

VOTING
The voting process will take place once the nomination period closes. An online voting period from 9:00AM Monday November 7th, 2016 to 11:59:59 PM Sunday November 13th, 2016 will be provided.  Details on the process will follow. Only IIBA Winnipeg Chapter and International members in good standing will be allowed to vote. A voting window will only be required if there are more nominees than open board positions.
